Our Shelving & Components
Funder Fabrication Operation
Plant size – 72,000 sf
The fabrication operation consists of cutting, banding, and boring component parts for a variety of clients including retail stores, store fixtures, closet systems, and office furniture.
The operation has the ability to import cad drawings directly to CNC equipment, eliminating drawing/production variation.
The equipment used is highly automated increasing productivity while keeping labor costs low.
Material is brought in (either TFM, HPL, or raw substrate) and cut using an angular saw with automatic feed and stack material handling.
Three edge banding lines all equipped with tenoners, capable of running 0.5 to 3mm banding. All three lines have automated material handling allowing high volume production with a low labor rate.
Edgebanding using double sided banders.
Bored using advanced CNC boring lines.
There is also a self contained line that will cut, band, and package material in one continuous flow.
The fabrication operation can not only edge band material using thin tape but can also process items needing 1, 2, and 3 millimeter edge banding.

The operation also has the ability to process parts requiring profiled edges as well as contoured radius parts needing thick banding.
There is also a self contained shelving line that will cut, band, and package material in one continuous flow.
Bored, shaped and routed parts are being machined with the latest CNC machining, operating within very tight tolerances.
A machining center used for specialty parts, which drills, shapes and applies edge-banding from 0.5 to 3mm to a wide selection of shapes.
