The stateside story of Funder America began in 1973 with a group of U.S. investors constructing a 100,000 square foot plant in Mocksville, North Carolina, devoted exclusively to the production of quality melamine panels. This independently operated firm brought the most sophisticated equipment and technical expertise from the European technical resources to make the facility the most modern and complete of its type in the industry.
Continued achievement with technological advances throughout the 20th century made the Funder name a state-of-the-arts for melamine production.
Through the ‘80’s Funder added a fabrication facility for component production, and added a second treating line. The ‘90’s brought the addition of two new laminating locations, as well as a packaging division.
Since the turn of the century, Funder America has replaced 2 presslines in Mocksville, upgraded 3 fabrication lines, and opened their newest laminating facility in Sebring, Florida. . Most recently, in Mocksville, 2010, a brand-new powder coating line was added to Funder’s diverse and extensive offerings.
